The Seun Albert SOT Foundation is set to launch its inaugural “5ive Aside” street football tournament, scheduled to run from 14 December to 27 December 2025 at the Government Field, Ore, Ondo State.
Registration opens on 19 November and closes on 4 December 2025, with a screening day for all participating teams on 6 December 2025.
The convener of the foundation, Mr Seun Albert noted that the tournament will provide a safe, vibrant platform for local youth to showcase talent, stay off the streets and build community spirit through fast‑paced five‑a‑side matches.
The competition will feature a knockout format, with matches played daily from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. under floodlights.
A total of 32 teams will compete for trophies for the winner, first runner‑up and second runner‑up, as well as individual awards such as Best Player, Most Disciplined Team, Best Supporter/Fan and Best Team Jersey.
The event is sponsored by Oluwaseun Albert SOT and supported by the Odigbo Local Government Area, which has pledged security and logistical assistance to ensure a smooth tournament.
