OSOPADEC Chair Pledges Continued Focus on People-Centred Development




Prince Biyi Poroye, Chairman of the Ondo State Oil Producing Areas Development Commission (OSOPADEC), has reiterated the commission's dedication to transparency, inclusive growth, and people-centred development

Speaking at a press conference in Akure, Poroye highlighted OSOPADEC's achievements over the past six months, emphasizing the commission's commitment to serving the people of oil-producing communities.

He praised the media for their role in promoting accountability and public trust, stating that OSOPADEC's mandate is centered on delivering impactful projects that benefit the people. 

According to him, "Under Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa's leadership, the 10th Board has prioritized institutional stability, resolving a long-standing litigation with Coastville Global Resources and completing key projects such as the General Hospital at Agadagba-Obon and renovation of 21 public schools.

"OSOPADEC has also made progress in education, healthcare, and infrastructure development, including road construction, transformer installations, and student scholarships. 

"The commission has strengthened its capacity through staff promotions, training, and improved welfare packages.

Poroye however emphasized OSOPADEC's commitment to accountability, environmental concerns, and delivering projects that benefit Ondo State's oil-producing areas.
