The Adaja of Ore Kingdom, High Chief Akindele Aladenika, has warned Chief Tope Ijiniga, the Ayadi of Ore Kingdom to stop impersonating as a member of the Olore-in-Council.
Aladenika stated this while speaking with newsmen recently, emphasizing that Ijiniga's actions are tantamount to impersonation and will attract the law's wrath if not stopped.
He clarified that Chief Tope Ijiniga is not a Member of Olore-in-Council, and has no right to interfere with the Obaship stool or regency in Ore. "He is a common chief," Aladenika stressed.
He expressed dismay at Tope Ijiniga's continued involvement in matters concerning the Olore-in-Council, despite not being a recognized member.
He urged Tope Ijiniga to desist from impersonation, warning that the law will take its course if he persists.
Adaja however urged the Ondo State Government to urgently intervene in the matter, and ensure that the rightful processes should be followed in appointing a new Olore.
The warning comes amidst ongoing tensions in the ancient town where the situation calls for urgent installation of rightful candidate to fill the vacant stool of Olore following the demise of late Oba Johnson Akintomide who had six years ago joined his ancestors.
