Cresthills Media has issued a strong public warning over the emergence of fraudulent social media accounts impersonating the organisation and its subsidiaries.
In a statement on its official Facebook page sighted by Newsline NG, the management of Cresthills Media disclosed that certain individuals are creating fake pages and handles falsely claiming to represent the reputable media brand.
The statement partly reads, "Dear Esteemed Listeners, Fans & Partners,
It has come to our attention that certain individuals are creating FAKE social media pages impersonating Cresthills Media and its subsidiaries.
The media organisation clarified that it officially owns and operates only three platforms: Crest 106.1 FM, Akure; Crest 91.1 FM, Ibadan; and Crest Media Academy.
"These remain the only recognised stations and subsidiaries under the Cresthills Media umbrella.
The management stressed that any other social media accounts, pages, or handles purporting to represent Cresthills Media or any supposed branches are fraudulent and not affiliated with the organisation in any capacity.
Cresthills Media further cautioned the public against engaging with such imposters, warning listeners and partners not to send money, personal details, or sensitive information to unverified accounts.
The organisation assured stakeholders that any future expansion into other states or the launch of new stations or companies would be officially announced through its verified communication channels.
