The attention of the palace of the Deji of Akure Land has been drawn to a rumour flying around that there will be a traditional curfew within and Akure metropolis today (by 9pm)
We wish to state categorically that such information is untrue and does not emanate from the palace.
We urge the general public to disregard such rumor which is meant to cause unnecessary panic and unrest among residents of Akure.
We urge the public to go about their lawful duties and business without any iota of fear.
The palace wishes to warn those who are in business of spreading fake news to desist from such forthwith or be prepared to face the consequences.
