A social critic, community leader and Chairman of SOFAJ Group of Companies, Bashorun Olugbenga Fajana, has commended the Ekiti State Governor, Mr. Biodun Oyebanji, for providing security vehicles and equipment to the Armed Forces, Nigeria Police Force and other security agencies operating in the state.
Fajana, in a congratulatory message to the governor, described the intervention as a significant demonstration of the administration’s commitment to strengthening security and protecting the lives and property of residents across Ekiti State.
According to him, the provision of operational vehicles and other security equipment would enhance the capacity of security agencies to respond effectively to security challenges and improve their presence across communities in the state.
He said the initiative was an indication of the importance the Oyebanji administration attaches to the safety and well-being of citizens, noting that a secure environment remains essential for economic activities, investment and sustainable development.
Fajana stated that the gesture represented what he described as “palpable deliverables and tangible dividends of democracy,” adding that the impact of government policies should be measured not only by promises but also by projects and interventions that directly affect the lives of the people.
He commended Governor Oyebanji for what he described as his administration’s efforts towards supporting security agencies with the necessary tools to discharge their responsibilities.
The SOFAJ Group chairman noted that security agencies require adequate logistics and operational equipment to effectively protect communities, particularly in an era when security concerns could affect businesses, investments and the general well-being of citizens.
He expressed optimism that the latest intervention would further strengthen collaboration between the state government and security agencies and enable them to respond more promptly to incidents across the state.
Fajana also said that improved security would create a more conducive atmosphere for businesses to thrive, attract investors and encourage residents to go about their legitimate activities without fear.
He expressed the hope that the initiative would translate into greater security and stability across Ekiti State, particularly in the protection of lives and property.
He therefore congratulated Governor Oyebanji on the initiative and urged relevant security agencies to make judicious use of the vehicles and equipment provided to them.
Fajana said the equipment should be deployed effectively for patrols, emergency response and other legitimate security operations aimed at protecting residents and maintaining peace in the state.
He added that sustained investment in security, infrastructure and other critical sectors would further contribute to the socio-economic development of Ekiti State.
He wished Governor Oyebanji continued success in his administration, expressing confidence that the security intervention would contribute to making Ekiti a safer environment for residents, businesses and investors.
