Ex DG Stabs his wife to death in Imo

Former Director-General of the Imo Broadcasting Corporation (IBC), Sir T.C. Okere allegedly stabbed his wife of 50 years to death this morning. The tragic event which took place at Imerenwe community in Ngor-Okpala local government area of Imo State has left many in shock. Many are wondering what could drive a man of such calibre to stab his wife whom he had been married to for half a decade. The murdered wife is said to have retired from Imo State Polytechnic Umuagwo. The true circumstances surrounding the incident is still unknown as of the time of this report. The Imo State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Ikeokwu Godson Orlando, confirmed that the crime suspect is on the run. Let there be security within Akoko axis, Group begs Akeredolu, over rising cases of abduction

A socio-cultural group in Ondo state, The Akoko Development  Group (ADG) has called on the state Governor, Rotimi Akeredolu to urgently beef up security in the four local councils in Akoko axis following rising cases of abduction in the area. The group lamented that kidnapping in the four councils has become highly worrisome. ADG urged the newly constituted  Amotekun corps to hit the ground running in order to complement the efforts of the regular security agencies. According to a statement issued by the President of the group, Mr. Akin Adaramola,  the call to Akeredolu became imperative in view of the incessant rate of kidnapping and banditry in Akokoland. Recalled that an Army officer identified as captain Gana was kidnapped along Akunu/Auga, Akoko road two weeks ago. Strong indications emerged, weekend, that the frosty relationship between Governor Rotimi Akeredolu of Ondo State and his deputy, Mr. Agboola Ajayi was far from been resolved. Barring any last minutes changes, Ajayi may be dropped as the deputy governorship candidate in the July governorship primary of the All Progressives Congress, APC. Governor Kayode Fayemi of Ekiti state and other chieftains of the party were said to have intervened, but the face-off lingered on. Vanguard, however, gathered that Akeredolu’s estranged deputy has reportedly struck a deal with the Peoples Democratic Party, PDP, on his possible defection to the party to pick the governorship ticket. A member of the Ondo State House of Assembly confided in Vanguard that Ajayi may defect with no fewer than eight members of the Assembly any moment from now. General Overseer of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG), Pastor Enoch Adeboye has said COVID-19 would leave the world completely if only God intervenes via special miracle. Adeboye stated this on Sunday during a live broadcast to his members on Dove TV.   The cleric urged Christians to trust God because he is in charge and cannot be caught by surprise. Man arrested for defiling own daughters in Ondo

For  sexually defiling his two daughters,  Femi Onifade  have been arrested by o peratives of the Nigeria Security and Civil Defence Corps in Ondo State.  Onifade, a welder was said to have defiled his two daughters, aged 7 and 9 years at No 27 Liberty Hospital Road, Oluwatuyi, Akure. Parading the Suspect at the Command’s Headquarters in Akure, the State Commandant of NSCDC, Mr Philip Ayuba said the man was arrested based on intelligence gathering by officers and men of the Anti-Human Trafficking and illegal Migration Unit.
