Ondo: "Use sports to preach and strengthen National unity", State coord tells corps members

The NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani has advised corps members to use the relationships they are cultivating during sporting activities to strengthen our national unity. The State Coordinator who is a sports enthusiast and a lover of good football offered this advise on Friday evening during the finals of Football and Volleyball competitions of the 2021 Batch 'B' (Stream II) orientation course. Mrs. Ani said that the only language expressly and freely used during sporting activities globally which is 'one love' should be extended to promoting the national unity and integration. Oyo: "Introduce novel ideas to make your products stand out", State coord tells corps members

The National Youth Service Corps Oyo State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe has charged the corps members to introduce novel ideas to their products to make them stand out. She said she was convinced that the products packaged by graduates will certainly turn out better than the ones done by the  less educated.  The State Coordinator pointed this out while speaking at the SAED  exhibition to mark the end of the Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme for 2021 Batch 'B' Stream two Orientation Course, held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Iseyin. She described SAED, as the best thing to have ever happened to NYSC and Young graduates. The NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani has admonished the corps members not to succumb to procrastination if they want their dreams to come to reality. The State Coordinator made the admonition today when she drew the curtains on the orientation course activities of Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development (SAED) programme for the 2021 Batch 'B' (Stream II) corps members. Mrs. Ani said that empirical facts has shown that those who procastinate in taking life savings decisions always found themselves at challenging positions in life. Ondo: Policemen threaten to shoot driver, passengers over #50 bribe

Four policemen deployed on Akungba -Ikare Akoko road in Ondo state have reportedly threatened to kill some drivers and passengers over refusal to give them #50 bribe.  The policemen who wore police vest without names on their uniform, even hit one of the passengers, a journalist in the vehicle with gun because he advised them to allow the drivers since they have up to a date vehicle documents. They used white police vehicle with an inscription “Akungba Division” One of the passengers who spoke anonymously called on the Ondo state Commissioner of police, Mr Bolaji Salami to sanction the erring officers before they cause crisis or kill innocent citizens over a bribe, even as one of the policemen aimed his gun at one the motorists. PRESS STATEMENT The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom and the Chairman of the Ondo State Council of Obas, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi, Odundun II will on Sunday 19th September, 2021 proceed on his annual traditional leave. 2. The annual leave is expected to last for a period of seven days beginning from Sunday 19th September, 2021 till Saturday 25th September, 2021. It is a period when the Deji goes into seclusion to take rest and also use the avenue to pray for peace and prosperity of the Land. 3. Ondo: Two brothers apprehended for murder

Two brothers; Segun Adeoye and Azeez Adeoye, have been arrested for allegedly killing one Seun Akinsiku at Oke Agunla area of Ondo West Local Government Area of the state. Segun and Azeez were apprehended by a combined team of the Ondo Development Committee Peace & Safety Corps, the Amotekun Corps, the Oodua Peoples Congress (OPC) and the Nigerian Police Force, in connection with the killing. The Hope Metro gathered that one Isaiah, who was earlier arrested mentioned them as co-perpetrators of the crime during investigation by policemen from Enu-owa Division in July this year. Police sources said Segun, his brother, Azeez, and Isaiah were involved in the murder of one Owolabi Oladele, an NCE 3 student of Christian Religious Studies (CRS), at Terere area of New Town in Ondo.
