Nysc Oyo takes HIRD medical outreach to Palupo community

The National Youth Service Corps, Oyo State has taken the NYSC medical outreach, Health Initiative for rural dwellers (HIRD) to the Palupo Community, Ona Ara Local Government, Ibadan. The outreach was carried out through the mobilization of corps medical personnel which include doctors, nurses, pharmacists public health workers, State Tuberculosis and leprosy Control (STLC Oyo State) team and NYSC officials.  The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Comrade Odoba Abel Oche while speaking at the programme appreciated the community leaders and members of the area for being hospitable and supportive of the Corps members posted to serve in their community adding that the NYSC will not relent in its efforts at rendering humanitarian services and embarking on other laudable Community Development projects for their benefits. The Director General of the National Youth Service Corps(NYSC), Brigadier Gen. Man, 28, arraigned for allegedly stealing motorcycle

By Chidinma Ewunonu-Aluko, Ibadan   A 28-year-old man, Ajibola Abayomi, on Thursday appeared before a Grade A Customary Court sitting at Iyaganku, Ibadan, for allegedly stealing a motorcycle . Abayomi, whose address was not provided, is charged with conspiracy and stealing. He, however, pleaded not guilty. The prosecutor, Mr Philip Amusan, told the court that the defendant committed the offence on March 17, at 10. a.m., at Eleyele, Ibadan. Amusan alleged that the defendant and others at large stole a Bajaj Boxer motorcycle worth N269,000. He said that the motorcycle belonged to DOT Asset Finance Company in Ibadan. Amusan said that the offences contravened Sections 516 and 390(9) of the Criminal Laws of Oyo State, 2000. The Magistrate, Mrs M. Aworemi granted the defendant bail in the sum of N200, 000 with two sureties in like sum. She adjourned the case until April 9 for hearing. (NAN)

In a brazen act of political subterfuge, hoodlums purportedly affiliated with Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa’s administration, along with individuals previously associated with the state’s tech sector during the previous administration, reportedly orchestrated a coordinated raid on the residence of the APC Party Chairman.  The upscale residence, nestled within the VIP lounge of the Ondo State Government House, was not the only target, as the Government Agency known as SITA also fell victim to their nefarious activities. NWFL 2023/24: Sunshine Queens thrash FC Robo in Akure

Two first half goals from the duo of Taiwo Ajibade, Shola Oduwale and an own goal was all Sunshine Queens FC needed to thrash FC Robo in the matchday 10 of the Nigeria Women Football League (NWFL) decided at the Ondo State Sports complex, Akure.  Adeyemo Fasilat scored an own goal in the first two minute of play in the entertaining encounter from Akubo Obianuju free kick.  Sunshine Queens mounted pressure on the unsettled FC Robo in the third minutes, thanks to their goal keeper who saves from Bolaji Olamide's strike in the fifth minutes. Taiwo Ajibade wasted no time in making it two for Sunshine Queens in the 8 minutes from a beautiful final pass from her team mate.
