Gov. Aiyedatiwa felicitates Ondo corps members, harps on re-dedication towards Nation building

The Executive Governor of Ondo State, His Excellency, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa has called on Nigerian graduate youths to rededicate themselves for the task of nation building. Aiyedatiwa made the call while declaring open the 2024 Batch 'A' (Stream II) orientation course for corps members deployed to Ondo State. The Governor, who was represented by the Commissioner for Youth and Sports Development, Honourable Saka Yusuf Ogunleye, disclosed that the members of the service corps would be exposed to daunting, arduous but fulfilling challenges of national development. He said that providence has brought them to Ondo, the Sunshine State to contribute their quota to the development of the State through their shared experiences, talents and skills. Gov Aiyedatiwa pays 'Thank You' visit to party secretariat, gets rousing cheers from residents

Following his victory in last weekend's primary election of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Ondo State Governor, Hon Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, on Monday paid a 'Thank You' visit to the State Secretariat of the party in Akure . Accompanied by some party leaders and a crowd of jubilant supporters, the Governor received cheers from residents as his motorcade made way to the party office. The Governor was received by members of the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party led by the State Chairman, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, who said the visit was a sign of unity within the party.  Engr. Seyi Makinde has tasked the 2024 Batch 'A' stream two Corps members mobilised to Oyo State for their one year mandatory national service to be optimistic about the progress and success of our country despite the current challenges confronting the nation. Catholic bishop canvasses policies, legislations addressing moral decadence

Emmanuel Badejo, has advocated for more policies and legislations that would address moral decadence and promote the wellbeing of youths. Badejo stated this at a news conference organised by the diocese in Oyo town on Tuesday. The News Agency of Nigeria (NAN) reports that the conference had, as its theme: “Church and State Collaboration in Citizens’ Welfare and the Development of Society.” Badejo listed the issues that needed to be addressed as inequity, lack of access to holistic education and job opportunities, among others. He decried what he called the increasing number of youths engaging in banditry, kidnapping and other social vices.
