Easter: Aiyedatiwa's Aide, Bola Taiwo Charges Christians To Pray For Nigeria, Emulate Christ

The Special Adviser on Union Matters and Special Duties to the Ondo state Governor, Lucky Aiyedatiwa, Comrade Taiye Bola has charged Christians to embrace the special season of Easter to pray to God for peace, unity and progress in Nigeria.   Also, he urged Christians, especially Nigerian Christians to emulate Jesus Christ who is the central character of the Christian faith. He admonished them to emulate Jesus' humility, selflessness, gentleness,  cheerfulness, prayerfulness, peacefulness, respectfulness, sacrifice and other impeccable lessons demonstrated by the immaculate life of Jesus. Prof. Festus Oluwole Alabi of the Department of Educational Management, Adekunle Ajasin University, Akungba Akoko, has called for a reconceptualization of the roles individuals and institutions play within the school system, stressing the need for green leadership that would counter ills and usher in a sustainable and morally upright education sector. Gov Aiyedatiwa okays construction of Akure-Idanre Road Dualization

The Ondo State Executive Council led by Governor Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, has approved the construction and dualisation of the main road linking Akure, the State capital, with Idanre. This was one of the many projects approved during the EXCO meeting which held on the 16th of April, 2025, at the Governor’s Office in Akure.  The Special Adviser to the Governor on Infrastructure, Lands and Housing, Engr Abiola Olawoye, who briefed journalists after the meeting, said the approval covers the first phase of 10km of the road from the Arakale/Oke Aro Junction to KM 10 along Akure-Idanre road. This came in fulfilment of the promise made by Governor Aiyedatiwa during his electioneering campaign last year to dualise the road. Engr. Former Governor of Kogi State,  Alhaji Yahaya Bello, has petitioned the Inspector General of Police (IGP) over alleged defamatory statements made against him by the suspended senator representing Kogi Central Senatorial District in the National Assembly, Sen. Natasha Akpoti-Uduaghan.  In the petition, written and signed by his solicitor, Mr. N.A. ABUBAKAR Esq, to the IGP on Wednesday, Bello called on the Nigeria Police Force under his (IGP's) leadership to invite Sen. Akpoti-Uduaghan to substantiate her allegation against him with credible evidence. "Where she fails to do so, cause her to be arrested and prosecuted in accordance with the provisions of the law for criminal defamation, inciting public disturbance and spreading false information injurious to public peace," the lawyer wrote. UNIMEDTH/SH: Health Emergency Initiative partners Ondo Govt to Support Less Privileged Children

The Health Emergency Initiative (HEI), a Lagos-based non-profit organization, has extended a generous hand of support to less privileged children at the University of Medical Sciences Teaching Hospital/Specialist Hospital, Akure (UNIMEDTH/SH) in collaboration with the Ondo State Government. Newsline NG learnt that the initiative was aimed at providing financial assistance to settle the medical bills of indigent children across various pediatric wards.
