After several doubt from the students of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, about the recent news on the online lecture schedule to hold tommorrow, the head of the Department of mass communication, Rufus giwa polytechnic, Owo, Mrs. Iyadunni Adedowole, has assured students of the institution the genuineness of the proposed E-Learning policy implemented by the school management.
Adedowole made the assurance early hours of today, on the departmental whatsapp group, while noting that the new policy is to remediate the effects of pandemic over the education sector.
"We had a meeting yesterday and we deliberated at length on the successful implementation of online lectures"
Recall that the Deputy Rector of the institution, Engr. Sunday Lawson, said the idea of E-learning becomes imperative to imbibe the online learning culture, as to keep students and lecturers engaged due to the shut down of schools occasioned by the novel virus.
He noted that e-learning is now an academic culture that could be employed for learning without violating the physical distance policy introduced to as parts of the measures to stem the tide of Covid-19, adding that participants are enjoined to cooperate with the management to make it viable.
However, students of the institution are already curious about the online lectures, which will be commencing tommorrow, Thursday.
