The Ondo state House of Assembly has suspended the Lawmaker Representing Ondo West Constituency 1, Honourable Leonard Tomide Akinribido on the ground of misconduct and use of vulgar words in the hallowed chamber.
The Lawmaker was suspended based on his lack of comportment on the floor of the House and his use of careless words on Social media to bring to disrepute the leader of the Assembly and its members.
The suspension of the Lawmaker is coming few weeks after the impeachment plan of the Deputy Governor, Agboola Ajayi could not make a head way due to court injunction on the process.
Recalled that on July 8, 2020, the ODHA suspended the Deputy Speaker of the house, Hon.Iroju Ogundeji, Hon.Adewale Williams and Hon.Favour Tomomewo
Hon Akinribido has been ordered to drop official documents in his care and to abstain from the premises of the Assembly complex while the suspension lasts.
