Ahead of the forthcoming Governorship election in Ondo State, traders and Shop owners in Olukayode Shopping Complex, Akure have declared their total support for the People's Democratic Party (PDP), Governorship Candidate, Eyitayo Jegede SAN.
The traders made the declaration at a meeting with the Governorship aspirant at his Alagbaka residence this morning, 8th, September 2020.
Declaring thier support for Eyitayo Jegede, the traders promise to support him when campaigning.
"Our shopping complex hosts over 4000 people daily and we will all from now on rigorously campaign for you".
"Most of us are not indigenes of Akure but it is a home to us all and have accommodated us peacefully. We will reciprocate by voting for a worthy Akure son."
Appreciating their gesture, Jegede enjoined the business managers to keep on praying for him and his running mate, Hon. Gboluga Ikengboju ahead of the polls. He thanked them for the honour and promised not to let them down.
He posited that "Our administration would partner with willing innovative small-medium scale business enterprises. They will receive maximum support from our government when we become Governor. This will help grow entrepreneurial businesses in the state."
