Ahead of Ondo State Football Association Election, youth in sports, Nigerian students, youth groups have purchased a nomination form for the former Ondo State Football Agency (ODSFA) Chairman, Otunba Akinsola Akinbobola.
The carnival like event was held at the FA office at the Ondo State Sports Complex, Akure the state capital.
The leader of the conglomerate, Comrade Kowe Odunayo Amos said the youths came together to purchase the form for the former ODSFA boss , based on his antecedent in grassroots football development.
According to him, "we contributed the money among ourselves to purchase the form him, because we know his pedigree when it comes to grassroots football development, without sounding immodest, Otunba Akinsola Akinbobola remains the best among all his contenders."
He remains the best man for the job, because has the accumen to take the dying football in Ondo State out of the doldrum and return it to where it's really belong in the comity of states.
On his part Segun Akinseimwa (aka)Package said: "As a Special Adviser on Sports to former Ondo State Governor, Dr Olusegun Mimiko he supervised and ensured Sunshine Stars got Continental ticket, when the opportunity presented itself to become the Chairman of Ondo State Football Agency, Akinbobola returned the team to Continental for the second time."
"He was the first Chairman that ensure , Sunshine Stars travelled by air for their away matches, under his supervision Sunshine Queens won the first trophy for the state.
"Without mincing words, Akinbobola who is also the Secretary of the Western Nigeria Football Forum has the pedigree and connection both in the state and at the national level to rebrand football in the state.
"We are not unaware of how football stakeholders in the state were being denied lots of benefits from the national level.
"In order to put an end to this menace , i'm appealing to all football stakeholders across Ondo State to support and cast their votes for him in the forthcoming election."
Other leaders of the youth groups at the event include; Robert Tolulope (aka)Romeo, Solomon Oluwatosin, Elias Michael, Romeo Tolulope ,among others.
