Mr Tunji Oluwatimilehin, a resident of Ago Ireti (Camp of Hope) along Akure-Oba Ile road, has cried out to helpers and government to help him fulfil his destiny by supporting his musical career.
The 61 years old Ondo town indigene, in an exclusive interview with our correspondent, revealed he had been having serious nightmares lately about God warning him to use the musical talent He gave him or face dire consequences.
He disclosed that he used to dream of singing on big stages and winning numerous awards but he never took it serious due to his condition.
"My talent is singing. There is nothing I can't do without it. I usually dream and see myself singing before large crowds and many times, I have seen myself receiving awards for my musical performances.
"Four days ago, I still dreamt I won four musical awards. Sometimes, I see myself in a big stadium and people hailing me as I step in but when I wake, I found myself lying in my bed and I will just laugh at myself.
"I can sing without being taught or tutored and I have composed some songs on my own. I sing pop, juju and reggae music. But I never cared about it. I just felt it was nothing.
"Now, God has been warning me in my dream that He would punish me if I die without using the talent t he gave me (singing). He told me He would ask me what I did with the talent He gave me", Oluwatimilehin revealed.
Speaking on his challenges, he said he had spent 21 years at the Ago Ireti due to leprosy. Although he had been treated and cured, the disease had already destroyed his limbs and sight.
He appealed to well meaning Nigerians and the state government to assist him to fulfil his destiny and use his songs to inspire people and correct societal immoralities.
"I have songs I have composed already and I just need a sponsor to record and sell them. Music is not just about the beat but the messages in it.
"I don't have any means to get a sponsor or push my songs out. It is not about the money or about the fame but I want to fulfil God's destiny in my life before my time on earth is up", He said.
