As part of the assiduous efforts aimed at ensuring healthy living in Oyo State, Some Corps Members in Lagelu local Government area, on Saturday, cleared up heaps of refuse beside Enyo filling station and its environs.
An insider within the purview of the NYSC, hinted Newsline NG that the environmental exercise was postponed last week in commemoration of the Sallah holiday.
Sources within the clime where the sanitation took place earlier today disclosed that the Corps Members who carried out the vigorous exercise have immuned Lagelu residents against diseases that are detrimental to vitality, this is even as Corps Members across the length and breadth of the Country observed the exercise.
However, the cheerful corps members advised the Community to embark on personal hygiene most especially as the Nation is currently combating the dreaded Delta variant of COVID-19.
Recalled that Oyo State Coronavirus Task Force had on July 12, 2021, uncovered the Delta variant of the virus in the state.
Nevertheless, contact tracing has commenced since the index case of the dreaded virus hit the State.
