Oyo: Ensure your name is written in gold, State coord tasks corps graduands




The 2021 Batch 'B' stream 2 graduation ceremony for corps volunteers trained on various special projects, SDG, Financial Inclusion and Fire Service Vanguard was held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Iseyin.

The  State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe who was represented by the Camp Director, Ms Etim Iyabo charged the corps volunteers to imprint their names in gold by educating their peers and their host Communities on the importance of Financial Management, Fire Safety and Sustainable Development Goals.

A total number of 65 corps members were trained , 22- SDGs , Financial Inclusion Peer Educator -32 and Fire Service Vanguards -34 .

Ogbuogebe affirmed that having undergone a five - day intensive training on financial literacy, SDG and Fire Service they are steps ahead and stand better chances to inform their host Communities on measures that can be taken to avoid financial scam, and also enlighten the society and the vulnerable youths on the importance of financial management and fire safety awareness.

The State Coordinator equally encouraged the corps peer volunteers not to be discouraged nor back out from this laudable project, but rather stay focused and committed in achieving its core mandate.



The Facilitator from the Federal Ministry of Youth and Sports, Mr Mohammed Ahmed  expressed his appreciation to the NYSC Scheme for creating the platform and  an enabling environment  for the trainees.

He further stated that the corps champions exhibited high level of commitment and discipline during the training and he was assured that they were ready to make positive  impact in the various Communities they are posted.

Earlier in a good will message the Head Special Project, Mr Ibrahim Ishaku applauded the corps volunteers for their readiness to enlighten the public. 


He however assured them that the management will continue to monitor their progress at the various local government areas.

Present at the ceremony were Principal Camp Officials, Resident Officer 1, Representative of South West Area Office and other Camp Officials.
