Crest FM gives back to the society, holds end of year concert.

A popular radio station in Ondo State, Crest 87.7 Fm, has empowered no fewer than 20 widows with the sum of N5000 each in the spirit of christmas celebration. 

The station doled out the cash gift during its end of the year concert on Sunday, at St.Thomas Event Centre, Akure, the State capital. 
 
Speaking at the event, the Founder of Crest FM, Mr Olumide Origunloye,  said the rationale behind the staged concert was just to appreciate God who never kept the organisation at arm's length. 

“The end of the year party is not only to wine and dine together alone but to appreciate God for all he has done”, he briefly said. 

In the same vein,  the Chief Operating Officer of the fast growing station, Mr. Adeolu Gboyega also noted that the reason behind the concert is to thank God for being with them throughout the year

"There have been alot of challenges in year 2021 but in all of this, Crest FM have been actually standing very tall among its contemporaries, we just made this concert to thank God".  He said. 


He also assured adherents of Crest FM that they won't renlent in dispensing accurate and unbias news, while he  thanked all and sundry for queuing behind the organisation. 

Gboyega, however, hinted the public that there is a change in the frequency Dial, saying from Jan 1, 2021, it will be 106.1 Fm instead of the known 87.7FM. 

Royal fathers at the occasion were: The Deji of Akure, Oba. Aladetoyinbo Aladelusi; Senior High Chief, Sola Adegbonmire Asae of Akure kingdom, High chief Afolabi Fayehun, The Edemo of Akure kingdom, High Chief Henry Gbenga Adeyeye The lralepo of lsikan Akure, Olori Adetutu Aladetoyinbo, Olori Funmi Aladetoyinbo, Olori  Kemisola Aladetoyinbo. 

Other dignitaries who graced the occasion, includes, Lady Evang.Dr, Bisi Alawiye Aluko, Chairman and board of director, Prince Ade Adekanbi, Adeola Anointing, Mr Ayo Ajayi, Mc Layor, Bisi Manuel, Ara lre among others. 


Highlight of the event includes, donation of cash gifts by fans of one of the station's popular programme, Orin Iyin presented by Dayo Afolabi and presentation of award to Dr. Bisi Alawiye Aluko as Gospel music icon of the year. 

Also, Juju singer, Asiwaju Dele Taiwo, Biyi Samuel (Igi Aruwe) and some other guest artiste performed ebulliently
