Instrumentalists needs monetary encouragement --- Adebowale D guitarist

An Ondo Based guitarist,  Adebowale Omokinwa popularly known as Adebowale D guitarist has urged musicians to always appreciate the instrumentalists working with them for the growth of their musical band. 

Adebowale Omokinwa stated this while speaking with Newsline NG via chat.

Adebowale decried the way most musicians treat their band members especially the instrumentalists, saying it is not encouraging. 

"They believe being the band leader, most of them assume they can treat their members anyhow, forgetting that they are the backbone of the band. 

"There is always an argument on how money is being shared. 

"Money for the instrumentalists should be separated so as to avoid internal wrangling. This will enable the band stand and progress. 

"Music is a profession on its own, just as bankers, engineers, doctors, etc, it needs to be handled professionally” he said. 

Adebowale, a graduate of Business Administration from Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, hinted that a synergy needs to be formed to share knowledge, concept and profit as well. 

Speaking on his talent, Adebowale said he has so much passion for music and had worked tirelessly to get fund to buy his first guitar. 


"In 2002, I started learning, guitar, which in one way or the other now has been putting food on my table. 

"Music inspires me a lot, it had since become my escape route when everything seems difficult. 

When I play guitar, I derive immense joy in it anc can as well, express myself in any way with it. 

He however urged upcoming artistes to go for their passion, work on themselves which according him, will open them up to opportunities.
