Passing out parade for 2021 Batch “A” Stream 1 corps members holds nationwide




The Executive Governor of Oyo State, His Excellency Governor Seyi Makinde has charged outgoing corps members to continue to uphold the ideals of the National Youth Service Corps which is Service to humanity as serving humanity is a noble cause. 

Governor Makinde stated this at the Passing Out Parade of the 2021 Batch “A” Stream one Corps Members at Lekan Salami Stadium, Adamasingba. 

The Governor who was represented by the Honorable Commissioner for Youth and Sports Hon. Seun Fakorede also commended the Outgoing Corps Members for the enthusiasm with which they contributed ttheir quota towards the development of Oyo state through the Community Development Service with laudable projects they embarked upon thereby impacting lives during their service year in the state . 


Earlier in her farewell message, the NYSC Oyo State Coordinator Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe congratulated and praised the Compatriots for their spirit of patriotism shown by their contribution to national unity and development through the execution of notable projects in their host communities particularly in education, Health, Agriculture and other critical sectors. 

Ogbuogebe also advised the outgoing Corps members not to rest on their oars but be diligent and make impact in whatever profession they have chosen and to pursue excellence at all times. She said that whatever the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development programme has impacted on them should be built upon for self reliance and wealth creation. 

The State Coordinator equally stated that the NYSC has the tradition of rewarding excellence and outstanding performance. The act which featured a Corps Member who bagged State Award at the ceremony. 


Nominated for the State Award at the Passing Out Parade for the 2021 Batch “A” is Abusim Chibuike Ngozi John OY/21A/0276. His outstanding Personal Community Development Projects include; installation of six (6) street solar lights, construction of ten (10 ) dual locker desks at the progressive secondary school, Tede and organizing extramural lesson at Ansarudeen Secondary School Tede. 


She further highlighted that 18 corps members absconded during the service year and would have to repeat the service whenever they reappear while 34 will serve extension of service for various offences.
