Worried about the spate of unemployment in the country, a chieftain of the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ondo State, Hon. Adeyeri Stephen Kunle, has urged the Federal Government to tackle the menace by establishing more industries.

He also advised the Govt to wield the big stick against terrorists stoking violence in the country.

The Chieftain spoke yesterday at Oka Day Yam Festival in Oka-Akoko, Akoko South West Local Government Area of the State.

According to him, the growing insecurity ranging from bloodletting, kidnapping and banditry among others are myriad of social vices confronting the country, adding that establishment of industries and adoption of Entrepreneurship centres, would drastically reduce the rate of unemployment and curb youth restiveness in the country.

He also applauded the role of traditional rulers in the State, for living up to the expectation of the people by improving internal surveillance through the establishment of local hunters and vigilante groups.

Adeyeri described the Olubaka of Oka, Oba Yusuf Adebori Adeleye, as a man of many parts, and added that the  reign of the Monarch has ushered in unprecedented development in the community.

However, he urged Oka youths to imbibe the spirit of hardwork and eschew social ills.
