The Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General Mohammad Kaku Fadah has called on 2022 Batch ‘C’ Stream One Corps members to make the unity of Nigeria their priority.
He stated that they had no other country and therefore implored them not to join those who are condemning the country but rather stay positive.
He gave the charge at the Swearing-In Ceremony of the 2022 Batch’C’ Stream one Corps members deployed to Oyo State and those dislodged from Lagos State at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Iseyin,
The DG who was represented by the NYSC Oyo State Coordinator, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe mentioned that the Orientation Camp remains a place where young graduates meet for healthy interactions and exchange of ideas to broaden their understanding of the Country thereby promoting national integration.
He equally advised them to avoid using social media for fueling hatred, spreading fake news and other negative purposes but instead use same for self improvement and national growth.
The NYSC Boss further encouraged the Corps members to seize the opportunity of Skills Acquisition and Entrepreneurship Development Programme offered by the NYSC as a means to tackle the challenges of unemployment among the Youth.
Comportment of the Corps members since the commencement of camp was also commended while he encouraged them to remain compliant to camp rules and regulations and shun every act of indiscipline.
Newsline NG however gathered that, the Chief Judge of Oyo State, Honorable Justice Mukthar Abimbola who was represented by Honorable Justice Iyabo Yerima administered the Oath of Allegiance on 1,457 corps members deployed to Oyo State and 710 corps members dislodged from Lagos State.
