Traditional ruler lectures PCMs in Oyo, harps on character




His Royal Majesty, the Aare of Ago-Are Kingdom,Oba Abodunrin Oyetunji Kofoworola Ilufemiloye Olakanla II PhD Fcai, has advised PCMs to imbibe good character to achieve brilliant success and fortune while serving in Yoruba land.

The Monarch gave this advice while 
Delivering the traditional lecture at the NYSC Permanent orientation camp, Iseyin.  

The Oba who was represented by the Chairman Ago- Aare Community,Engr. Ayobami Adebayo congratulated the PCMs for being posted to Oyo State for their service year adding that they should count themselves fortunate to be among hospitable and peaceful people.

He therefore urged them to be well behaved at all times so they can attract good opportunities.

The Aare of Ago-Are equally stated that the establishment of the NYSC by the founding fathers encourages the promotion  of common ties among different cultures which undoubtedly contributes to accelerated growth of the country.

He also encouraged the PCMs to seize the opportunity of the service year to serve God and humanity and also respect the tradition of whichever communities they find themselves across the State.

The Royal Father in the content of his lecture  demystified the beliefs and tradition of the Yorubas with their culture ranging from food, marriage and lifestyle among others.He said having the correct impression about their host community is very important. 


Earlier, the State Coordinator, National Youth Service Corps Oyo State, Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe who was represented by the Camp Director, Mr. Olumide Adekeye appreciated the Monarch for finding time to honour the invitation forwarded to him within a short period of time and for his fatherly role towards the Scheme in Oyo State.


The Oba was entertained with dance by the Cultural troupe and gifts were also presented to him by the representatives of the PCMs.
