The Management of the Federal University Oye-Ekiti has said it has taken a giant stride in E- Learning for students of the institution.
This was made especially for the period of three weeks break for the general election.
Newsline NG learnt that the Vice Chancellor, Professor Sunday Abayomi Fasina and his team in their wisdom had considered the period wasted on the 8 months ASUU strike.
The Vice Chancellor, Prof Sunday Fasina said, the e-learning was planned in order to avoid interrupting its academic calendar, and has successfully conducted academic, training and other regular activities on the University’s online platform, with student enrolment on the e-learning platform
His words, "To achieve excellent service delivery, academic staff have undergone a two days training sessions both at Oye and Ikole campus in order to gain a mastery of teaching and assessment tools available on the e-learning platform.
"The institution’s online learning management system (OLMS) provides students a platform to interface with their lecturers for the period of their stay at home
"As expected, the E-learning platform has been activated, students have been asked to register all your courses on the E-learning platform.
Newsline NG however gathered that, the Vice Chancellor appointed Prof Ibrahim Adeyanju, Director, Quality Control FUOYE as the Chairman, Committee of E-Learning with his counterpart , Dr Jemilohun in collaboration with the ICT center of the institution.
