In his bid to support the propagation of sports, Sunshine Queens Head Coach, Oladimeji Abimbola has also joined well-wishers in their bid to ensure Sports Writers Association Of Nigeria (SWAN) Ondo State Chapter has a befitting secretariat by personally donating a standing fan to the association.
Abimbola, who is also the Chairman of Odigbo football council said he decided to support the takeoff of the Sports Writers new office situated at the state sports complex, Akure for effective reportage.
He added that the association is the voice of voiceless, and needed support of stakeholders to make their job comfortable.
"Their job is brain tasking, so they need serene environment to operate.
"I did not donate to them for distortion of facts, but to show appreciation to them for their contribution to sports development in the state.
The Chairman of Sports Writers in the state, Segun Giwa, thanked the donor for identifying and appreciating the association's contributions to sports development in the state.
Giwa added that Sports Journalists will not relent in discharging their duties professionally.
He urged other stakeholders to support the takeoff of the association's secretariat.
