The Ondo State Coordinator of Tantita Security Services, Senior High Chief Idowu Asonja, has hailed President Bola Tinubu, for rewarding pipeline surveillance security contract earlier awarded to the Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited owed by Government Oweizide Ekpemupolo, alias Tompolo, to secure and protect the crude oil pipeline in the coastal region of the country.
Senior High Chief Asonja appreciated President Tinubu for listening to the voice of the people and reaward the contract to the company of his boss, Tantita Security Services Nigeria Limited.
Senior High Chief Asonja in a release made available to Coastal Renaissance said: “The President has acted on the plea of Nigerians for the renewal of the contract earlier awarded to Tantita Security Services by the Federal Government of Nigeria.
“This is an affirmation of excellent performance of Tantita company since the contract has been awarded, no doubt, peace and stability have been restored to the Niger Delta region since Tompolo has taken up the surveillance of the pipeline.
‘Tantita has proven competence in oil pipelines security and it is obvious to all and sundry that pipeline vandalisation has been curtailed, oil thefts and leakages and allied unlawful acts have since been properly managed within the region since Tantita took over.
“In spite of these successes however, we have continued to improve on our strides as we daily device ingenious ways to make certain that the current peace in the Niger Delta is well sustained and that government and citizens continue to maximally benefit from a peaceful Niger Delta region.”
Asonja called on the traditional rulers and youths in the region to embrace peace and development.
He said: “Going forward, Tantita would continue to do its best in guaranteeing the safety of the petroleum pipelines and maintaining the existing peace in the region.
“In Ondo state, for instance, apart from our core mandate, we would explore all humanitarian options that could enhance youth and community development of the coastal area.” Senior High Chief Asonja said
