The Odatiwa Progressive Movement(OPM) in Odigbo Local Government Area has formally endorsed two candidates for the Ondo State House of Assembly ahead of the forthcoming elections.
At a well-attended gathering of party faithful and community stakeholders, the movement, under the leadership of Hon. Oladimeji Abimbola, threw its weight behind Dr. Tunji Rhema Moyero as the preferred candidate to represent Odigbo Constituency 1.
Similarly, the group endorsed Hon. Mrs. Grace Atoyebi for Odigbo Constituency 2.
Speaking during the endorsement event, Hon. Abimbola described both candidates as credible, experienced, and committed to delivering quality representation to the people of Odigbo.
He noted that their track records and alignment with the developmental vision of the state government made them the ideal choices for the constituencies.
“The movement carefully considered individuals with proven integrity, leadership capacity, and grassroots connection.
"Dr. Moyero and Hon. Atoyebi embody these qualities, and we are confident they will effectively represent the interests of our people,” he said.
The event also served as an opportunity for members of the movement to express their appreciation to the Ondo State Governor, Lucky Orimisan Aiyedatiwa, for what they described as his ongoing efforts in developing Odigbo Local Government Area.
The group however commended the governor’s commitment to infrastructure, social welfare, and inclusive governance.
In their separate remarks, the endorsed candidates thanked the movement for the confidence reposed in them, pledging to justify the trust by prioritizing the needs of their constituents if elected.
"This endorsement is expected to strengthen grassroots mobilization and further consolidate political support for us, the candidates within Odigbo Local Government as the electoral process gathers momentum.
