Following Akeredolu’s condemnation about  his predecessor for abandoning projects started by late the former governor of the state, Olusegun Agagu recently, t he National leader of the Zenith Labour Party, ZLP, Olusegun Mimiko, has lambasted his friend, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu of Ondo state over attacks launched on his personality Mimiko, who spoke while receiving the state Deputy Governor, Hon Agboola Ajayi, at his Ondo town residence on Saturday, described the governor as a joker, noting that what his administration achieved in eight years, the APC government in the state has not attained the feat in one year. He also berated Akeredolu for abandoning the reproductive health care programme in the state, adding that he would speak out during campaigns. Eksu management condems attack on pro-chancellor

Ekiti State University EKSU, Ado Ekiti says the Governing Council and the University Management are not lackadaisical to issues affecting the welfare of staff as speculated . This followed an allegation of financial irregularities levelled against the governing council and management of the university by the Academic Staff Union of universities, EKSU chapter. The union had in a press statement titled: “STOP THE PRETENCE AND DEAL WITH EKITI STATE UNIVERSITY’S FINANCIAL PROBLEMS” accused the Pro-Chancellor of the university of doing more harm than good to the institution. The attack is sequel to the Press interview granted by the Pro-Chancellor and Chairman of Council, Professor Bamitale Omole on various national and state issues, relating to funding of tertiary education by the federal government, the IPPIS, COVID-19 and sundry issues. Ondo Ekimogun Youths Congress gets new executives

Th new executive officers that will pilot the affairs of  Ondo Ekimogun Youths Congress (OEYC),  in the next four years have been elected by the youth of the town  The election which was conducted in line with the covid-19 protocols as stipulated by the government was monitored by the men of Nigerian Army, Police, officials of the Department State Security Services (DSS) men of the Ondo State Security Corps (Amatekun) among others. Announcing the result amidst tight security,  the chairman of the electoral committee organised for the exercise, Mr. Omolayo Omotayo, declared Lucas Famakinwa as the winner of the election after polled 65 out the total 80 votes cast to defeat Adewale Omotayo, who polled 11votes in the election. Ipele Kingmakers commend Akeredolu, demand attention on new Olupele

The Ondo State  Governor of Ondo  Oluwarotimi Akeredolu  have been urged  to constitute the selection process for the new Olupele before the October 10 guber poll. This was coming following court declaration that allowed prince Rotimi Elebese to contest,  Ipele traditional council of Chiefs few months ago.  The Kingmakers who spoke through the Arole of Ipele, Chief Omotayo Akinrogbe made the appeal during a press conference on Saturday in Ipele. The Kingmakers said the initiation of the selection process became imperative as Ipele is the only town in Owo local government area that has no substantive King in the last Five years. The Ondo State Deputy Governor, Mr Agboola Ajayi today gave reasons for planning to unseat his boss, Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, saying he is changing his political platforms in recent time to rescue the people of the state from underdevelopment and untold hardship.
