Sunshine Queens FC of Akure have condoled with the  management of Sunshine Stars over the death of its Assistant Kit Manager, Taiwo Dosunmu who died as a result of gunshot . Recalled that Sunshine Stars bus was attacked by gunmen on their way  to honour one of their matches in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) against Bendel insurance.  The deceased was shot in the stomach by men of the underworld while other players and officials were injured.  Efforts of governments of both Ondo  and Edo States to safe the life of the assistant kit manager were unsuccessful as he gave up the ghost early this morning. Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi State has presented 25 ambulances to all the local government areas of the state and some tertiary institutions as well as fire fighting vans to the state's Fire Service in Lokoja . A political group under the auspices of Concerned youths for unity and development of Akoko Northwest Local Government Area, has expressed support for the leadership agenda of the Minister of Interior, Hon. According to the organisers,the two days basketball challenge was carefully designed to nurture and encourage basketball players in Ondo state. Speaking ahead of the game, head coach Ondo state basketball association Sola Aluko while appreciating the organiser said the stage is set for basketball players in the state to compete, display their skills among various teams for honor. Coach Aluko further stated that the 3x3 basketball challenge has been registered on FIBA website and twelve teams have been successfully registered for the games from Ondo state.
