Nysc DG clears the air on the allowance

The Director-General, Brigadier General Shuaibu Ibrahim has cleared the air on the amount approved as Corps Members’ monthly allowance by the Federal Government in line with the new National Minimum Wage. He disclosed this while speaking to Corps Members at the NYSC Bauchi State Secretariat during his working visit to the State. Ibrahim explained that contrary to the various amounts being circulated on the social media, the sum of thirty-three thousand naira had been approved as the new rate. He also said provision had been made for the new allowance in the year 2020 Budget, adding that payment would commence as soon as funds are released by the appropriate authorities. Speaking further, he advised the Corps Members to always be security conscious just as he warned against rumour mongering and negative usage of the Social Media. He admonished them to avoid unauthorized journeys and, when authorised to travel, not to do so at night because of the inherent danger. Source:Newsmirror

Man dies during sex romp with a young lady in Abuja

 A lady, Miss Victory Amaize, has been arrested and detained by the Police operatives at Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, after she reportedly engaged a man, Danjuma Yahaya Alli, in marathon sex in a popular hotel and he eventually died on top of her. GIO TV reports that the incident happened at the popular Grand Ibro Hotel, Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, FCT, where the romp took place. The lady, Victory, was said to be facing murder charges based on Police suspicion that she might have engaged the deceased, Danjuma Yahaya Alli, in marathon sex that eventually caused his death. The alleged tragedy was exposed after the Chief Security Officer of the hotel, Onyido Sule, went to the Police at Wuse Zone 5, Abuja, on 22nd January 2020, reported that a lady, Victory Amaize, from Life Camp in Abuja, screamed from her hotel room to the management over what happened. One of the children of popular trado-medical practitioner, Alhaji Fatai Yusuf, said his father was killed hours after he received a call that his workers burnt some important documents in his Igando, Lagos office The son said the family was notified of the burnt files around 7am on Thursday, about 10 hours before the alternative therapist was killed by some gunmen on the Abeokuta-Igbo-Ora-Iseyin Road, Oyo State. Police Arrest Oko Oloyun‘s Staff, Escorts

  Oyo State Police Command on Friday said it has arrested for interrogation,  the two police escorts that were with Fatai ‘Oko Oloyun’ Yusuf when he was shot and  killed on Eruwa-Igbo-Ora  Road on Thursday. Some staff of the late traditional medicine practitioner are also being questioned for possible involvement in his death. “Some of the staff and his two (2) Police escorts are being questioned by a team of crack detectives from the homicide section of State Criminal Investigation Department, SCID Iyaganku, Ibadan with a view of finding and apprehending the fleeing suspects who wrecked the heinous act,” police spokesman Gbenga Fadeyi said in a statement. Fadeyi said the deceased could have been killed due to an alleged bookkeeping records fraud he detected in his Lagos office. There are strong indications that the Governor was specifically referring to a serving senator from his State. Drama: Fulani Herdsmen runaway from Ondo Community, abandon Cows

There was a drama and confusion today at Ijare town in Ifedore local government area of Ondo state as community chiefs led youths of the town to chase away fulani herdsmen that have been causing problems for the community. The herdsmen however left their cows behind and ran for their life . A source at Ijare town told ROVING REPORTERS that the incident occured after warnings have been given to the herdsmen by the community on the need for them to leave Ijare town following destruction of many farmlands by their cows. It was gathered that the herdsmen refused to leave but went far into distant place to rare their cows, a development that the community leaders were not comfortable with. On Wednesday morning, the youths of the community traced the herdsmen and having seen the youths , the herdsmen took to their heels ,leaving their cows behind. Lady arrested for using menstrual blood to cook for her boyfriend

A lady identified as Ijeoma was arrested on Friday the 10th of January by IMO state police command for using her menstrual period to prepare food for her boyfriend. She denied the fact but when interrogated she confessed to have used it for 7 months so that her boyfriend won’t leave her. Her boyfriend’s (Mr. Kingsley) statement “I met Ijeoma 3 years ago. She was perfect but suddenly she started cheating on me and she engages in prostitution. Sometimes she would lie to me that she is traveling to her village but ends up in a Hotel with a man. One day I followed her and caught her in a Hotel with an old man but after begging me I forgave her because I love her so much. Most times my friends tell me to leave her but I can’t. Ondo Free Shuttle Buses Suspended as 50,000 Students Stranded

Operations of Ondo state free school shuttle buses have been grounded since the resumption of primary and secondary schools pupils for 2019/2020 second term, leaving about 50,000 students in public schools stranded on daily basis across the state; SUNSHINETRUTH can report authoritatively. The free shuttle buses were introduced about 8years ago by the last administration of Olusegun Mimiko and it was sustained by Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu’s government, to convey free of charge students in public schools to and from their schools in major towns in the state. It was learnt that that operations of the 90 shuttle buses were suspended by the state government due to an alleged lack of fund for maintenance and fueling. Investigation revealed  that the State Ministry of Transport had failed to settle debt incurred for the fueling of the buses since last year, which made the filling station owners to reject further debt. Bloody clash in Ondo: Navy Prevent Pirates operations

Gbagira village, a suburb of Awoye riverine community Area in Ilaje Local Government of Ondo State is reportedly under siege following an offshore bloody clash of the Nigerian Naval officers and suspected sea pirates. According to a village source, the Naval officers stormed the village in search of remnants of arms and ammunition used in a failed kidnapping operation by the sea pirates on Thursday November 9th 2019. Two foreign abductees of the operation have since regained freedom with one of the pirates apprehended and handed over to security operatives already, the source added. However the naval officers have laid sustained siege on Gbagira village from Thursday day till now (Saturday afternoon) in search of the criminals, arms and ammunition left behind by the fleeing criminals. A middle-aged man, Nsen Godwin who attempted to kidnap two children of the same mother in Okitipupa area of Ondo State, four–months old and 9year-old boys has been arrested by men of the Nigerian Police Force. The suspect was said to have kidnapped the two kids when playing with them in their home in Omowa street in Okitipupa and lured the nine year old kid out of the house while he carried the baby. According to the mother of the victims, she left them outside the house to quickly buy something nearby, and by the time she arrived, a neighbour told her that one man came to pick them to a certain direction. She however raised an alarm and neighbours joined her in search of the children and met them with the man in another quarter of the community. Two siblings, a four month-old and 9year-old boy have been abducted in Okitipupa area of Ondo state. Subsequently, men of the Ondo state Police command in Okitipupa, in Okitipupa local Government Area of the State, have arrested the suspected kidnapper, Nsen Godwin of the two children. The suspect was said to have kidnapped the two kids when playing with them in their home in Omowa street in Okitipupa and lured the nine year old kid out of the house while he carried the baby. Man arrested by Dss for using abandoned sim card previously owned by Buhari daughter

The Department of State Services allegedly arrested one Anthony Okolie for 10 weeks for buying and using an MTN SIM card previously used and abandoned by Hanan Buhari, the daughter of Nigerian President, Major General Muhammadu Buhari (retd.). According to  Sahara Reporters,  the telephone number was recycled and put up for sale by the popular telecommunications network provider as is usually done.
