The Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Public Relations Officer (P.R.O.), Mr. Ojo S. O has said the recent postponement of the institution's Matriculation ceremony for 2020/2021 academic session, was because admission was still on going in the institution.
Mr. Ojo said this during an exclusive interview with newsmen in the early hours of Monday.
He said the new date for matriculation will be disclosed soon
He added that RUGIPO may be practicing one round examination for the past three sessions, but this present session will be different as students who are present in the institution will write their exams before SIWES students.
He however noted that the examination date for this session still remains constant.
He further advised all students to debunk fake rumors and false information over strike action in the institution, because it creates unnecessary tension within the institution community.
