BIGG Mums, an interdenominational praying women group and a support system for women and children, was founded by Pastor (Mrs) Bola Owagbayegun.

Other items given included; free notebooks and other writing materials.

Earlier on May Day 2022, the ministry had held a Special Day for children, in which over 300 children were in attendance.

It was also gathered that no fewer than 10 less privileged and out of school students  in both primary and secondary schools were given educational scholarships.

The beneficiaries include; orphans,  children who dropped out of school and students with good academic performances.

Among the beneficiaries are; a twin, Taiwo & Kehinde Aluko, Iyanu Odunlami, Taye Omonijo, Idowu Faborode, Agnes Isaac, Praise Sunday, Okuwakemi Adesugba and Temiloluwa Osadebe.

Speaking during the presentation of scholarships to  the beneficiary students, Pastor (Mrs) Christianah Akindunbi, representative of BIGG Mums, said the founder, Pastor (Mrs) Owagbayegun, in her desire to see the less privileged children become successful in life, decided to sponsor some indigent children in school.

“The primary objective of the BIGG Mums, is to educate, inspire and support women, including children who are in need.

“As we all know, education is very necessary. Hence it is the utmost wish of the founder, Pastor (Mrs) Owagbayegun, and other women in the group to ensure children who are out of school and roaming the streets because their parents do not have that financial capabilities to sponsor the education, go back to school.

According to Pastor(Mrs) Akindunbi, "the BIGG Mums have paid the school fees of all the beneficiaries for  the 2022/2023 academic calendar year.

She assured that, God willing,  the BIGG Mums will extend the scholarships to other children in the society.

“By the grace of God, we are working on reaching out to some other children. It will be in batches. These beneficiaries are the first set to enjoy the sponsorship.  We’re  trusting God to help us, so we can also help other children.

“As we all know, education is light. So, we are using this medium to call on our good people, who are interested in giving these many indigent students, a better life, to key into the vision.

Newsline NG however gathered that BIGG Mums presented free special big notebooks and other writing materials to each of the beneficiaries at the commencement of the new academic calendar year.
