Ondo State coord meets Steering Committee members, harps on effective representation





The State Coordinator of the National Youth Service Corps in Ondo State, Mr. Sam Amaramiro Pepple has declared that the management has weathered daunting challenges in other to stabilise the 2024 Batch 'B' (Stream 1) orientation course.

The State Coordinator made the declaration while addressing the Steering Committee members during its first meeting held at the OBS building located within the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko.

Pepple, while thanking the entire camp officials for their understanding since the Mikano generator developed technical faults which the engineers are still battling to revive, lauded their supportive spirit which has calmed the nerves of the corps members. 

He said that the roles everyone played by rallying round the management to surmount the reoccurring power supply challenge was an indication that the camp officials preach what the corps members are made to learn and imbibe throughout the period of service which is unity of purpose.

The Coordinator appealed to them to take special interest in ensuring that members of the service corps receive best services while on camp, saying that the Reception Committee portrayed the Scheme well when the corps members reported for service. 

He said that every Committee has done well and that he was only using the Reception Committee as a point of reference, urging everyone not to rest on their oars but strive to uphold the excellent topnotch performance the Secretariat is known for.

The Coordinator promised that he would not leave any stone unturned, as his mandate is to ensure smooth and effective implementation of the objectives of the Scheme. 

The NYSC Ondo State boss congratulated members of staff that were recently promoted and enjoined them to match their performance with their new status while encouraging those who could not move to the next higher grade that their appointed time will come.



The Camp Director, Mr. Thaddeus Idalu encouraged everyone to see their camp assignments as an opportunity to change the perception of the youths towards national growth and development.

The Heads of Committees briefed the house on their activities so far and the preparation towards the remaining weeks on camp.
