The family of the late HRM Alaiyeluwa Oba Ajibola Oluyede, Ise Oluwa II, Alayede of Ayede Ogbese, has appealed to residents of Ondo State, especially indigenes of Ayede Ogbese in Akure North Local Government Area, to embrace peace, love, and responsible behavior during this Christmas season.
The message, conveyed by Regent Princess Dr. Olufunto Oluyede Campbell on Wednesday, emphasizes that Christmas should be a time of spiritual reflection, hope, and communal harmony not excesses that endanger lives or disrupt peace.
The family notes that this season calls for compassion, faith, and unity, particularly as many families face economic and social challenges.
"As we celebrate the birth of our Saviour, Jesus the Christ, may your home be filled with love, your heart with faith, and your life with God’s endless blessings this Christmas and throughout the coming year," the family stated.
Residents of Ayede Ogbese are encouraged to strengthen family bonds, show kindness to the less privileged, and promote peaceful coexistence during the festivities.
The family also cautioned against reckless driving, substance abuse, violence, and other acts that could lead to loss of life or property.
Youths are urged to shun violence, cult activities, and social vices, reflecting the true essence of Christmas. Parents and guardians are advised to guide their wards to ensure celebrations don't turn into regret.
The family however expressed hope for peace, progress, and improved wellbeing for Ayede Ogbese, Akure North LGA, and Ondo State.
