Fresh indications have emerged that media aides attached to Governor Lucky Aiyedatiwa may be considering a mass resignation over alleged poor treatment and inadequate funding.
Sources within the governor’s media team disclosed that several key figures are said to be preparing to tender their resignations, a development that could significantly affect the administration’s communication machinery.
According to insiders familiar with the situation, dissatisfaction has been mounting among the aides for some time.
A source who spoke on condition of anonymity alleged that the current administration has been overtaken by a powerful inner circle.
“Despite the substantial resources accruing to the state, a handful of influential individuals have allegedly assumed control of government affairs and state resources,” the source claimed on Sunday.
It was further gathered that several ministries, departments and agencies are reportedly facing financial constraints, which insiders say have limited their capacity to function effectively and deliver on their mandates to the people of Ondo State.
In a separate interview, some senior cabinet members who also spoke anonymously expressed frustration over what they described as unfulfilled promises.
They noted that despite increased federal allocations to the state, there have been few visible projects in the media and public communication space that the administration can showcase.
Meanwhile, indications suggest that Governor Aiyedatiwa has begun efforts to contain the brewing crisis. The situation reportedly escalated after one of the media aides shared a resignation notice on the group’s WhatsApp platform, further fuelling speculation about internal unrest.
Observers believe that if the reported resignations materialise, they could trigger a shake-up within the administration’s media structure before the end of February.
