PDP faults Ondo APC Support for Yayaha Bello

The Ondo state chapter of the main opposition party, (PDP) has frowned at a move by the ruling party, APC, Ondo state chapter to support the reelection of Governor Yahaya Bello of Kogi state. The Chairman of the party in Ondo State, Engr. Ade Adetimehin, had on Tuesday dropped the hint in Akure, when he led the State Working Committee in a parley with the leaders of Igbo, Hausa, and Ibira communities, at the State Secretariat, that a committee had been constituted to help in getting Bello reelected in next month’s governorship election. Adetimehin said Ondo APC would constitute “a comprehensive committee of members of the State Executive Committee, and representatives of the various communities in the State that will join our brethren in Kogi State.” But reacting, a press statement by its spokesman, Zadok Akintoye laments that the step by the Ondo APC will amount to waste of state scarce resources. 3 Ondo Students Who Gang-Raped Female Classmate To Be Arraigned

The Ondo state Police command say investigation is still ongoing over three students of the State School of Health Technology, Akure, for allegedly gang-raping a year one female school mate last week. The suspects who are; Aderoboye Damilola, Eyitayo Charles and Blessing Michael, may be charged to court next week. The command however disclosed that the suspects who are still in the police custody, will soon be arraigned in court for proper prosecution...  The trio, according to the spokesperson of the state police command, Femi Joseph will be charged to court to serve as deterrent to those with criminal tendencies. The three suspects were said to have committed the crime at the residence of the girl’s boyfriend along Akure-Oda road, last week Joseph said, ” We are going to charge the three suspects to court. Head Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Raping Six-year-old

A 30-year-old Headteacher of a private school in the Kuje area of Abuja has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for allegedly raping a six-year-old pupil of the school.  Identified as Shedrach Nwekeagu, the suspect allegedly started by inserting a finger into the minor’s private part before raping her a week later. The man was said to have been arrested after the victim opened up to her father after he noticed blood stains on her underwear.  Head of Press and Public Relations Unit of NAPTIP, Stella Nezan, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday.
