DEJI INSTALLS NEW IGBO LEADER IN AKURE

The Deji and Paramount Ruler of Akure Kingdom, Oba Aladetoyinbo Ogunlade Aladelusi have installed a new igbo leader for the igbo community in Akure Kingdom. Oba Aladetoyinbo who had earlier approved the appointment of Chief Umenweke Titus about a year ago finally performed the traditional installation of the new igbo leader at a ceremony held at the Ojukoto’s court of the Deji’s Palace. While performing the rite on the new igbo leader, the Asamo of Akure Kingdom, High Chief Rotimi Olusanya urged the new leader to continue to toe the path of honour and integrity which he is known for.  The High Chief urge him to lead the igbo community rightly and ensure that there is a cordial relationship between them and the Akure people. SAED: Assistant Director urges Corps members not to relent in mastery of their chosen skill

The Assistant Director, SAED, Mrs Atinuke Ojo has urged corps members not to relent in mastery of their chosen skill and of continuous training at their Post camp SAED centers.  She made the call during the Skill Acquisition and Entrepreneurship  Development (SAED) Closing Ceremony and Inter platoon (SAED) competition for the 2021 Batch B(Stream l) Corps members at Iseyin Camp. She however applauded the facilitators for painstakingly training the corps members while on camp and encouraged them to continue in the same manner during the Post camp training. In the same vein, The NYSC Oyo State Coordinator Mrs Grace Ogbuogebe also urged corps members to devote more time to SAED training in order to master their chosen skills. Oyo: CBN, BOI, Others Enlighten corps members on Financial Interventions

The Central Bank of Nigeria and the Bank of Industry have enlightened corps members on various financial interventions that would boost their business for the required economic growth.  Representing the CBN at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Iseyin, Mr Sadiq Ajayi highlighted some of the major interventions, which include the Agri-Business/Small and Medium Enterprise Investment Scheme, National Youth Investment Funds (NYIF), Creative industry finance initiative and Anchor's borrowers program. He emphasized that Corps members can maximize the NYIF, which is in collaboration with the Ministry of Youths and Sports and allows for trading under the Scheme.  He stated that only those with registered businesses are eligible for the minimum unit of N3 Million loan at a zero interest rate. Corps members have been charged to impact their host communities and bring about positive change that will ensure sustainable development of the society. The NYSC Director, Mr. Leke Abiodun gave the charge while addressing the 2021 Batch B (Stream 1) Corps members undergoing the Orientation course at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp Iseyin.  He said that he was impressed with the state of the camp following his inspection of the camp facilities. According to him it shows that the corps members are of good conduct and ready to carry out the assignment ahead of them in achieving the mandate of our founding fathers.
