Having been alleged of raping a sixty year old woman, a twenty year old boy, Monday Asaba has been arrested in Ifon, Ose local government area of Ondo state  The incident according to police report  happened on March 17, 2021. The state Commissoner of Police, Bolaji Salami paraded the suspect in Akure, the state capital. According to him, the suspect was subsequently arrested after thorough investigation by police detectives. He said the family of the victim reported the matter at Ifon police station. The Executive Governor of Ondo State, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Odunayo Akeredolu (SAN) has charged members of the service corps to make sacrifice and give selfless service to the nation. Over 30 cows have reportedly died in a mysterious circumstance in Akungba-Akoko, Akoko southwest local government area of Ondo state.  According to an eyewitness, the incident occurred on Monday evening at Ibaka area of the host community of the Ondo state-owned Adekunle Ajasin University. The witness who is simply known as “Asiwaju Ojumo”, this morning said, “Good morning Akokos. The Controller, Federal Fire Service, Ondo State Command, Mr. Cletus Makperr has assured the management of NYSC that his organisation will continue to complement the operations of the Scheme. A busload of members of the Redeemed Christian Church of God (RCCG) were on Friday evening abducted by gunmen in Kaduna, Kaduna State. Head, Media and Public Relations of RCCG, Pastor Olaitan Olubiyi, confirmed the abduction to Saturday Tribune Friday night. He did not release further details on the identities and number of the victims. Seven years after they conspired to steal a mobile phone, cash and other valuables, two brothers Issac Sunday and Isaac Lucky and an accomplice, Ovie Nana Friday, are to die by hanging in Ondo State.   The Joint Admission Matriculation Board (JAMB) has released the timetable for this year’s Unified Tertiary Matriculation Examination and Direct Entry examination. According to the board, the UTME would hold from Saturday, 5th to Saturday, 19th June 2021. The board made the announcement in a statement by its, Head, Public Affairs and Protocol, Dr Fabian Benjamin on Wednesday. The board said registration for the examinations will start on Thursday, 8th April to Saturday, 15th May 2021. The board said there will be no extension of time for the sale of the UTME/DE application documents. According to the statement, the Governing Board of JAMB took the decision after its meeting on the 22nd of March, 2021. The Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Education, Science and Technology in Ondo State, Mrs. Lola Amuda on Wednesday directed all principals and heads of public secondary schools in the state to ensure immediate refund of money paid by SS3 students on the West Africa Examination Council, WAEC in line with the decision of Governor Oluwarotimi Akeredolu. About 300 cows has been seized in Ondo state by the Ondo State Security Network otherwise known as Amotekun on Tuesday.  They were seized for flouting government orders on open grazing. The development however resulted into heavy vehicular traffic along the Oyemekun-Oba Adesida road up to Alagbaka on Tuesday morning in Akure, the ondo state capital as men of Amotekun Corps conveyed the 300 seized cows to their headquarters. It was gathered that vehicles and other road users were stuck for hours on the major road while others were later taking other routes to avoid being delayed to their destinations. More than 100 cows had also been  seized on Sunday along the Akure-Ilesha highway by the Amotekun officials for flouting the State government directives on open grazing and use of underage herders.
