3 Ondo Students Who Gang-Raped Female Classmate To Be Arraigned

The Ondo state Police command say investigation is still ongoing over three students of the State School of Health Technology, Akure, for allegedly gang-raping a year one female school mate last week. The suspects who are; Aderoboye Damilola, Eyitayo Charles and Blessing Michael, may be charged to court next week. The command however disclosed that the suspects who are still in the police custody, will soon be arraigned in court for proper prosecution...  The trio, according to the spokesperson of the state police command, Femi Joseph will be charged to court to serve as deterrent to those with criminal tendencies. The three suspects were said to have committed the crime at the residence of the girl’s boyfriend along Akure-Oda road, last week Joseph said, ” We are going to charge the three suspects to court. Head Teacher Arrested For Allegedly Raping Six-year-old

A 30-year-old Headteacher of a private school in the Kuje area of Abuja has been arrested by the National Agency for the Prohibition of Trafficking in Persons for allegedly raping a six-year-old pupil of the school.  Identified as Shedrach Nwekeagu, the suspect allegedly started by inserting a finger into the minor’s private part before raping her a week later. The man was said to have been arrested after the victim opened up to her father after he noticed blood stains on her underwear.  Head of Press and Public Relations Unit of NAPTIP, Stella Nezan, confirmed the arrest in a statement on Thursday. Liverpool thrash newly promoted side Norwich 4-1 to lead the Premier League table. It was an exciting match out there last night which birthed lots of brilliant performances all over the pitch. Norwich fell behind very early in the game after Grant Hanley turned the ball into the back of his own net from Divock Origi’s cut back. Liverpool further scored more through Mohamed Salah, Virgil van Dijk and Divock Origi as they led 4-0 into the break. One Person shot dead, Two injured in Ondo bank robbery

Less than 24hours that a Police Inspector, Lasisi was shot dead by unknown gunmen at Isua in Akoko South east local government area of the state, the Ondo state police command has confirmed that one person has been shot dead when armed robbers attacked a commercial bank at Iju town in Akure north local government area of the state. The Spokesman of the command, Mr Femi Joseph told Radio Nigeria in Akure that undisclosed amount of money was carted away. Mr Joseph noted that the only victim was a female security guard attached to the bank while two persons sustained serious injuries. Government can no longer fund the Rugipo Staff School____Banji Alabi

The Ondo state government, through the Governing Council Chairman, of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, Mr Banji Alabi, has terminated the appointment of all members of staff of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic Staff Primary School and many of the secondary school, Nigerian Cable News online has reliably gathered. Mr Alabi, the school council chairman was quoted to have said in several management meetings that the government can no longer fund the school and wants to sell it, and that the services of all members of staff are no longer needed. Nigerian Cable News online also gathered that over fifty(50) staff of the schools will be affected by the new decision. A statement issued by the School acting rector of the school, Mr. Gani Ogundahunsi confirmed the development but said no staff will loose his or her job, an assertion obviously contradictory to the sack letters issued to them. Ondo poly sacks all workers at Rugipo Staff School

All the Staff of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, RUGIPO Staff Primary and Secondary Schools have been disengaged with immediate effect. In the disengagement letter addressed to all the workers and signed by the Polytechnic’s Acting Registrar, Mr Sule Atiku, said the sack would take effect from August 5th, 2019. The number of the staff are yet to be ascertained as at the press time but the management defended its action by saying that the school had been privatized as a result of huge recurrent expenses of running the staff schools.
