A suspected robber, who specialized in robbing people of their motorcycles has died in a lone accident, while trying to escape with a stolen bike. . The middle-aged man, whose identity is still unknown was said to have died instantly, when the okada snatched alongside his accomplice crashed in front of a joint along Alagbaka road, in Akure metropolis. Reports had it that the deceased was lying lifeless by the road which attracted passers-by starring at the corpse. It was gathered that the robber lost his life, while trying to escape with the bike he allegedly snatched from a commercial motorcyclist along Sunview Hotel, in Alagbaka GRA, Akure . The owner of the motorcycle was said to have cried for help, which attracted fellow motorcyclists who gave him a hot chase. A source told our correspondent that it was in the process of escaping that the robbers had a crash that claimed the life of the deceased. By Olatunde Bele, Owo The Management of Rufus Giwa Polytechnic, Owo, has released the date for her new students' Orientation Programme, for 2020/2021 Academic Session.  In a circular which was released on Thursday, 27th of May, 2021 by the School Authority noted that the one week programme is slated to commence at the 800 Seaters Auditorium, by 8.30am to 1.00pm daily, from 31st of May to the 4th of June, 2021.  It further reads that "this is an annual Orientation Programme which cannot be over stressed, because it serves as an essential sensitization guidance and consciousness for newly admitted students of the institution. However, this programme is  meant to enlighten the new students (HND1 and ND1), on their rights and aims of coming to the Polytechnic.

Four suspects in connection with the murder of one Adegboyegun Ademola have been arrested in Akure the capital of Ondo State. The suspects whose names were given as Olorunmaye Temitope 50, Falowo Bisayo 43, Afolayan Kayode 55, and Akintade Busayo 45 were said to be members of the National Union of Road Transport Workers (NURTW) Ondo State council.
