Oyo corps members urged to sustain the spirit of patriotism

By Faniyi Abimbola, Ibadan The Acting Director General of the National Youth Service Corps has charged 2022 Batch C stream ll corps members to sustain the spirit of patriotism,  hard work and resilience which they have imbibe during the orientation course. She implored them to strive to meet the expectations of Nigerians by contributing towards the progress and development of our dear country. This call was made by the Ag. Director General, Mrs Christy Ifenyinwa Uba during the closing ceremony for 2022 Batch C stream ll Orientation Course. Crest Fm's Omolola Akinbo quits active broadcasting

Popular broadcaster, Olaide Abioye has been appointed Crest fm, Akure's Head of Programmes . Abioye's appointment followed the recent resignation of the Head of Programmes(HOP), Mrs Omolola Akinbo from the services of the station. While announcing the appointment of the new HOP, the station's Chief Operating Officer, Mr Adeolu Gboyega said though it was extremely painful to let Omolola Akinbo go at this time most especially due to the bond shared with all members of staff and her immense contributions to the station, her decision to quit active broadcasting at the end of the year 2022 must be respected. The Acting Director General of the National Youth Service Corps, Mrs. Christy Ifeyinwa Uba has called on all stakeholders of the Scheme to give necessary encouragement to corps members. Mrs. Uba made the call in her address read at the closing ceremony of the 2022 Batch 'C' (Stream II) orientation course held at the NYSC Permanent Orientation Camp, Ikare-Akoko. The Acting Director General who was represented by the NYSC Ondo State Coordinator, Mrs. Victoria Nnenna Ani equally appealed to Corps Employers to accept corps members posted to them, and make necessary provisions for their welfare. The distribution was held today, December 19, 2022 at the annual outreach programme of the foundation. Newsline NG gathered that hundreds of excited residents of Ado-Ekiti came out in large numbers to benefit from the distribution. Hon. Ibadan Poly partners Tourism firm, empowers students on Domestic Tourism

While signing the Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the institution and the firm, on Monday in Ibadan, the Executive Director of Capricorn Concierge Tourism, Mr Ibitayo Araoye, said the programme is a three-month empowerment programme that would be running concurrently as a professional course. He said the course is tailored to provide responsible jobs after the completion by the students.
