Justice Ladiran Akintola ruled that the lawmakers should maintain the status quo pending the hearing of the application for interlocutory injunction filed by Olaniyan’s counsel, Chief Afolabi Fashanu (SAN). Akintola, thereafter, adjourned the case until Tuesday, for the hearing of the respondent’s reply. The Commandant spoke in Ore, headquarters of Odigbo local government during a routine sensitisation programme organised by the agency for the youths in the area. A High Court, sitting in Akure, the Ondo state capital has sentenced two persons, Stella Akinbobola  and Adewumi Matthew to seven years and five years imprisonment respectively for forcible entry and conspiracy to commit felony. The trial judge, Justice Williams Rotimi Olamide convicted the duo, while he discharged and acquitted the third defendant, Ojopaun Tope.  The two were accused of forgery and uttering a Warrant of Possession after same had been signed by His Lordship, Hon. It was learnt that her remains was discovered at the back of a hotel at Ugbe Akoko, in Akoko North East Local Government Area of Ondo State. The deceased was said to have been swept away by a flood last Monday while she was returning home after school hours. Ondo State Governor, Arakunrin Oluwarotimi Akeredolu, SAN, has nominated two new commissioners designate. The two nominees are Akinwumi Samson Sowore and Prince Joseph Adeboboye Ologbese. Their names have been forwarded to the State House of Assembly for screening, clearance and confirmation. Akinwumi Samson Sowore is from Ese-Odo Local Government Area while Prince Joseph Adeboboye Ologbese is from Akoko Southwest Local Government Area. The two nominees are expected to replace the two former commissioners from the local government areas, Donald Ojogo and Gboyega Adefarati, who resigned their appointments to contest elective positions.

Magistrate S. A Adesina, who found Dumabara guilty of theft, sentenced him without an option of fine. Earlier, the Police Prosecutor,  ASP Sikiru Ibrahim, told the court that Damubara also stole three gas cylinders, stabilizer and a pair of Adidas shoe from Pleasure Summit Restaurant, Magara Road, Iyaganku, Ibadan. Ibrahim further told the court that the convict also stole a 42-inche television worth N200, 000. He said the offence contravened the provisions of Section 390(9) of the Criminal laws of Oyo State, 2000. (NAN).
