Security operatives have arrested a notorious gang leader whose name was given as Femi Shina Aribisala and two other members of his group.
It was learnt that the operatives stormed their hideouts on credible intelligence and about 12 motorcycles were recovered.
Sources disclosed that joint efforts of Police in Akungba, lwaro and Ikare spurred the recovery of the stolen motorcycles.
Aribisala, who is a native of kare Akoko, was said to have confessed to the crime. Although some residents alleged that that he had been threatening the fragile peace of some towns in Akoko, North Senatorial District of Ondo State.
A victim, Ajani Muyideen, revealed that his motorcycle was stolen recently and alleged that the gang perpetrated the act.
Meanwhile, the Divisional Police Officer for Ikare Akoko, Ade Akinwande, confirmed that some stolen motorcycles were recovered and two suspects have been arrested in connection to the crime
