It was an atmosphere filled with love, joy, and excitement as the families of Pastor, Dr. (Mr.) and Pastor, Dr. (Mrs.) Afolabi, alongside Engineer (Mr.) and Mrs. Bakare, gathered to witness the wedding of their children, Oluwadoyinsolami and Oluseyi.
Newsline NG learnt that the wedding ceremonies, which spanned two days, attracted relatives, friends, and well-wishers from Nigeria and the diaspora, all of whom came together to celebrate the union of the couple in grand style.

The traditional wedding ceremony was held on Thursday, March 26, 2026, in a colourful and culturally rich setting that showcased the heritage and values of both families.
The white wedding and reception followed on Friday, March 27, 2026, with proceedings commencing at exactly 2:00 p.m., drawing a large turnout of guests who witnessed the solemn exchange of vows.

During the church ceremony, the couple professed their love and commitment before God and the congregation, receiving prayers and blessings from officiating ministers and elders present.
The events were marked by elegance and spiritual significance, as the couple radiated joy and gratitude while stepping into a new phase of life together.
Both ceremonies were held at 2360 Millrace Court in Mississauga, Ontario, Canada, a serene and well-arranged venue that accommodated the influx of guests who travelled from different parts of the world.
Newsline NG gathered that the event featured a vibrant display of traditional rites, music, and attire, as family members and guests participated in the age-long customs that symbolise unity, respect, and marital commitment.
Family members from both sides who spoke with our correspondent expressed appreciation to God for the successful ceremonies, describing the occasion as a moment of fulfillment and a testament to enduring love and unity.
Guests at the event commended the families for the seamless organisation and warm hospitality, noting that the ceremonies reflected both cultural pride and modern sophistication.
Meanwhile, the celebration extended to Nigeria, as a mini reception was held at Alliance Francaise Ibadan, the Oyo State capital, where friends, associates, and well-wishers gathered to honour and celebrate the newly wedded couple.
